This is a metal miner’s triangle that was used at the Wisconsin Mining School in Plateville, Wisonsin for educational purposes. The Mining School was originally established to provide education specifically in mining and mineral processing. Over time, it expanded its programs and became part of the broader University of Wisconsin System, eventually changing its name to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
