About: Miniature King's Crown, Fairy Castle
About: Miniature King's Crown, Fairy Castle
This king’s crown is found in the Great Hall of the Fairy Castle. It is made of gold and set with diamonds, stones, and pearls and produced by the jewelry firm Brock and Company from Los Angeles, who had a Hollywood clientele that included actress Mary Pickford (1892-1979).
The Great Hall with floating staircase is a grand room with many treasures. The floor is composed of ivory carved with rose vines which carry up onto the great pillars supporting the ceiling. The ceiling includes domes painted by Helga Brabon of characters from fairytales of both the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Anderson. The Great Hall includes many hanging wall paintings as well as many rare treasures gathered from around the world.
