About: Miniature Gold Chest, Fairy Castle
About: Miniature Gold Chest, Fairy Castle
From the Fairy Castle’s Great Hall, this golden chest includes decorative etchings on all sides, clover-shaped feet, and working handles. The “Jras S For r Aise” inscribed on top of chest is Gaelic for “love never dies”. Inside the chest is a diamond-studded nail.
The Great Hall with floating staircase is a grand room with many treasures. The floor is composed of ivory carved with rose vines which carry up onto the great pillars supporting the ceiling. The ceiling includes domes painted by Helga Brabon of characters from fairytales of both the Grimm brothers and Hans Christian Anderson. The Great Hall includes many hanging wall paintings as well as many rare treasures gathered from around the world.
