Physical Characteristics
Object Description: Blue half pint glass fire extinguisher grenade, containing original liquid and white stones. Object is spherical with a thin bottle neck and wax seal at the top. The sides have a quilted design with flattened circular sections for the embossed text on the front and back.
Marks: Front: "HARDENS HAND / GRENADE / FIRE / EXTINGUISHER" Back: "PATENTED / NO 1 / AUG. 8, 1871 / AUG. 14, 1883"
