Object Description: Brown painted metal auto racing helmet with a leather brim, leather straps, and a beige fabric lining. "Géno / cap" is painted in white cursive with a red border on the center front. A white tag with black text is sewn onto the lining. "58" is stamped onto the lining in black, just below the tag. Many scratches and on the helmet so that the paint is missing in many places. There is one (1) large dent on the center top of the helmet.

A brown racing helmet from the 1950s made by Geno, similar to the one worn by Formula One champion Juan Manuel Fangio from Argentina. During the 1950s, Fangio dominated the first decade of Formula One racing and won the World Drivers' Championship five times.
