Object Description: Black size medium STX K18 II SP shoulder and chest pads with silver lettering and an orange insert. Silver text is printed on chest and side straps. Orange insert is visible behind black mesh on center chest. Interior is padded and covered in gray fabric. "K 18" is printed in the lower proper left corner of the chest. Interior is lined with a textured silver fabric and foam.

The K18 Lacrosse shoulder and chest pad from STX is made of D3O technology. D3O has dilatant, or shear-thickening, properties. The material is flexible when little energy is applied to it, but when compressed by impact, its molecules lock together to absorb and disperse the force of the impact.
