This black and white paperweight was made during the 1893 Columbian Exposition at the Libbey Glass Pavilion. Owner Edward Drummond Libbey (1854 – 1925) had secured the exclusive rights to be the only American glass company at the exposition, where visitors could watch glassware being made.
