About: Stereographic Images of the World's Columbian Exposition
About: Stereographic Images of the World's Columbian Exposition
These cards were made by Benjamin W. Kilburn, an American photographer and stereoscopic-view publisher who acquired exclusive rights to sell stereoscopic views of the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. These stereograph cards, consisting of two nearly identical photographs, are paired together, and viewed under a stereoscope to create the illusion of a single three-dimensional image.
