About: Queen & Co. Aneroid Recording Barograph

This aneroid recording barograph from Queen and Company was used to continuously record barometric pressure via a pen, held in place by a metal lever, which makes contact with a printed cylindrical paper chart that is turned by clockwork. Changes in pressure are measured using the movement of a flexible metal diaphragm, which expands when pressure is reduced and contracts when pressure is increased.
