Object Description: Clear glass cylindrical jar with white ceramic lid containing five (5) flat, rectangular zinc and copper metal plates. The plates are hanging from the lid by a copper stem and bolts that are screwed on top of the lid. A spiral wire connected to the side of one of the silver plates extends through a small hole in the lid. Text is molded on the top of the lid, sides of the zinc plates, and the front and back of the jar.
Marks: On lid: "EDISON / MADE IN U.S.A." Front of jar: "MADE IN U.S.A." Back of jar: "T.M.REG.U.S.PAT.OFF" Side of plates: "EDISON"
