About: General Purpose Plow Bottom

About: General Purpose Plow Bottom

John Deere revolutionized farming by creating the first steel plow in the 1830s. Iron plows were brittle and could easily break if they hit a rock or root while plowing. With more durable Deere steel plows, farmers could plow their fields faster and cheaper. This general-purpose plow is made with a “soft center steel” bottom to give it flexibility and long-lasting durability.
